There is no better way to warm up after a cold winter day than a hot bowl of your favorite soup. In honor of National Soup Month coming to an end, we have gone through the Forq app to find some of our favorite soups to share with you!
I am here in New England, and it is absolutely freezing. I recently just got back from a trip visiting family in South Carolina and Florida, and we had some cold days all the way down there too! It’s winter time; it seems no one is safe from the cold, especially up here in New England. My favorite way to warm up is to eat a big bowl of soup.
Soup is one of my favorite things to eat for lunch. I usually make big batches of chicken noodle or vegetable soup and stick it in my freezer so it’s easily accessible for me to just heat up! It’s easy to make, tasty, and there are a ton of healthy soup options as well.
My all-time favorite soup is definitely Broccoli Cheddar. Panera Bread has perfected it, but you can at home too! The great thing about this soup
is that it is the perfect consistency to serve in bread bowls– yum! Another favorite of mine is Lentil Barley Soup. I grew up with my mom making lentil soup every winter, so this soup reminds me of home! It’s also pretty healthy; lentils are pretty nutritious. They contain fiber, protein, and vitamins, yet are low in calories. Yet they still fill you up! Definitely healthier than using noodles. If you’re looking for another healthy soup, I’d definitely recommend this Vegetable Soup. I’ve had tons of different variations, but no matter the vegetables, it was always tasty!
If you are looking for a noodley soup, I’d try this Chicken Parm Soup out. I mean, who doesn’t like chicken parm?! I look at it as a variation on the classic chicken noodle soup– delish! And if you like noodles, then you will absolutely love gnocchi, so you should try out this creamy
Chicken Gnocchi Soup. For those of you that don’t know, gnocchi are like little potato dumpling noodles. They’re amazing! Definitely with the try.
Now this would not be a soup blog if I didn’t include my mom’s favorite soup, French Onion. Any time we go out to eat, she
checks if French Onion Soup is on the menu. And if it is, she gets it!
There are so many soups out there that are waiting to be made! The Forq app has tons of soup recipes; all you have to do is search “soup” and browse through! Happy cooking!
